Centrally located on the West Coast, the region has all of the attributes companies need to succeed. We offer unmatched talent throughout a diverse array of industries, along with world-class infrastructure that allows companies to move their people and products quickly and efficiently via air, rail, road, and water.

The University of Oregon serves as the region’s hub for innovation, especially BioScience and Material Science. The UO’s core facilities are extensive and notably offer state-of-the-art rapid prototyping, 3D printing, a class 1,000 cleanroom, x-ray imaging, and advanced materials characterization geared to both industry and translational research needs. Completion of the second Knight Campus building in 2025 will double the current capacity to over 350,000 square feet that will house 30 teams of scientists and researchers offering a pragmatic mix of meeting spaces, wet lab benches, and procedure rooms—precisely what researchers need to translate scientific discoveries into practical applications. The second will be part of the next phase of construction and will offer individuals modules that companies can lease, offering flexibility for different kinds of startups. Together, they are designed with one purpose: to expedite scientific entrepreneurship.
